Bikepacking 2025 - Art and Architecture in Rotterdam

Travelogue

We're in Rotterdam today and being full-on, no holds barred, proper tourists. There's some resting taking place but this is not intended to be a rest day. We had two of those in Utrecht last weekend.

This morning, we set out on foot to see the highlights of Rotterdam architecture and street art. There are some amazing buildings here, most notably the Cube Houses. We even went inside one of these surreal dwellings. As we understand it, the others are homes to people. It's art but very much with a purpose.

The street art was mostly statues of various sorts and ages. Some we liked. Some was downright ugly (Anita) and some ..... Festive but you've never seen Santa quite like this before!
